Synergy FCU Federal Regulation Change
Due to a new federal regulation, Synergy FCU will no longer be able to post ACH, Electronic Payments, or Electronic Deposits until the issuing company’s provided effective postdate. This means that the payroll checks that typically post to members’ accounts a day or two early cannot be posted early and will be posted on the check postdate.
This change will go into effect on August 7, 2017.
We recognize that getting paid a few days early has been a nice benefit, but the credit union has to stay in compliance with the federal regulations or a fine is levied.
