We want to make you aware of recent attempts by scammers posing as Synergy Federal Credit Union's Fraud Department in an effort to obtain sensitive member information.
The person contacting our members is identfiying themselves as "Matthew" or "Carey" and they're calling from these two numbers: (254) 613-0040 & (254) 561-9882.
Please remember: Synergy Federal Credit Union will NEVER ask your for the following information via email, text message, or unsolicited phone call:
- Your full account number
- Online banking username or password
- Debit or credit card number
- Card PIN or one-time security codes
- Social Security number
If you receive a call or message you believe to be from Synergy FCU that asks for this type of information, do not respond, click any links, or provide any details.
If you are ever unsure whether a message is legitimate, we encourage you to:
- Contact us directly at (888) 272-8228, or call the Fraud Department number on the back of your card.
- Log in to your account through our official mobile app or website (never through links in messages)
Your security is our top priority, and we appreciate your help in keeping your account safe.
If you believe you may have been contacted or shared information in error, please contact us immediately. Also log into the mobile app and disable your card using CardCenter.
